The Verzuz battle between The LOX and Dipset will be the preview to an upcoming tour between the New York rap groups. According to Sheek Louch, Styles P and Jadakiss, they are set to hit the stage alongside their Verzuz competitors during a tour that is slated to go down this fall.

“We going on tour together,” Styles told Angie Martinez when asked if The LOX was going to premiere a new song during tonight’s (Aug. 3) battle. “The LOX and Dipset tour. That’s going to be sick. It’s in September.”

“There’s going to be merch, there’s going to be product, there’s going to be music,” added Styles P. “We’re going to fudging springboard it.”

Though the competition is the first event to happen, Jadakiss chimed in on the conversation and admitted that the idea for the tour came first. While planning the details, the groups decided that a Verzuz battle would be a great way to get fans excited for what’s to come. The same level of thought and a few jokes seem to have gone into their promo for the matchup at Hulu’s Theater in Madison Square Garden.

Since announcing the battle, Styles P and Jim Jones have traded hilarious jabs at one other. Styles playfully threatened Capo’s future as a weatherman, and Jones said on numerous occasions that he’s not afraid of the “ghost” — a reference of Styles P’s latest Ghosting project.

The trash talk will soon come to an end as the rappers and their respective groups will duke it out while putting on for all New Yorkers. The LOX and Dipset Verzuz is going down tonight at 9:30 pm ET. Fans interested in watching can tune into Instagram and the Triller app.
