The 2021 XXL Freshman cover has been released. On Wednesday (June 16), the highly-awaited list dropped, revealing the latest breakout stars to receive an official endorsement from XXL.

The members of this year’s Freshman Class are Coi Leray, Pooh Shiesty, Murray, Iann Dior, Lakeyah, DDG, 42 Dugg, Blxst, Rubi Rose, Toosii and Flo Milli, the Alabama star whose fans have been elated with the news. Following the announcement, Flo’s supporters flooded Twitter with posts congratulating her on her latest accomplishment.

“Flo Milli is FINALLY getting the recognition she deserves,” tweeted user @addis13_mint. “Long overdue but still, more to come.”

“i’m so happy that Flo Milli got on the XXL Freshman list, like she is IT,” added @geminisantics. “Flo Milli is the best artist on here for sure!” @pvredecvy wrote in a tweet. “Everyone else is just average at best.”

Some fans quoted the emcee’s coined phrase, “Flo Milli Shit,” and others predicted she would outperform her class members in the XXL Freshman freestyle.

A few hip hop fans generally highlighted the number of women in the 2021 Freshman Class.

“4 women!!! Can’t wait for an all women XXL Freshman list in the years to come. Purrrrr,” wrote Twitter user jazzy_aloha. @AlexZidel later tweeted, “So many women on the XXL Freshman List this year. Love to see it!”

The XXL Freshman list has been known to spark debates and viral moments on social media. Last year’s class members included the likes of Latto, whose freestyle garnered praise from many in the hip hop community, and Polo G, who secured appearances from Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, Pop Smoke and DaBaby for his recently-released project, Hall of Fame.

XXL Freshman freestyles and cyphers rapped to a beat made by producer Nick Mira and some of the Internet Money team will reportedly drop within the next month.
