On Wednesday (April 7), the nominees for the 2021 iHeartRadio Music Awards were announced and The Weeknd is leading the pack with a whopping eight nominations. Megan The Stallion and Roddy Ricch follow the Canadian star with seven nods each.

The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights” is nominated for Song of the Year, just months after he was snubbed by the 63rd Grammy Awards. The track will go up against DaBaby and Ricch’s collaboration for “Rockstar,” Post Malone’s “Circles” and Dua Lipa’s “Don’t Start Now.”

Megan Thee Stallion is nominated for Female Artist of the Year and Hip Hop Artist of the Year.

“Savage (Remix),” her No. 1 Beyoncé-assisted single, is nominated for Hip Hop Song of the Year, while “WAP,” her controversial No. 1 single with Cardi B, has been nominated for Best Music Video, Favorite Music Video Choreography and TikTok Bop of the Year.

Last month, the Houston native racked up three Grammys awards, including one for Best New Artist. “I don’t want to cry ... But first of all, I want to say everybody is amazing,” she said during her acceptance speech. “Every artist that was nominated for this award is so amazing. So, shoutout to all y’all ... Secondly, I really just want to thank God, because thank you for putting life into my body for me to be able to even be here today. I want to say thank you for always being with me, being by my side.”

The 2021 iHeartRadio Music Awards are set to air live from Los Angeles on May 27 at 8 p.m. ET on Fox. “We couldn’t be more excited for this year’s iHeartRadio Music Awards,” said Tom Poleman, chief programming officer for iHeartMedia. “We are looking forward to celebrating these top artists and their accomplishments, especially after a year that brought unprecedented challenges to the music industry and live events.”

Social voting for all categories will begin Wednesday (April 7) and close on May 19. Fans can use Twitter hashtags to vote or visit iHeartRadio.com/awards.
