The iHeartRadio Music Awards have officially been postponed due to growing concerns of the Coronavirus pandemic.

“As you may know, the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles recently announced that it is officially closed for events through at least March 31,” iHeartRadio said in a statement.

“This includes the 2020 iHeartRadio Music Awards scheduled to air Sunday, March 29 on FOX. The safety of our guests, employees, artists and partners is our main priority. iHeartMedia and FOX will plan to reschedule at the appropriate time and will provide more information and relevant updates as they become available. Refunds are being issued to ticketed guests,” the statement continued.

Voting will continued for the fan-voted categories until Monday, Mar. 23. The voting for Best Fan Army Award will remain open until Friday, Mar. 27. Winners will be announced shortly after voting closes.

Usher was set to be the host of this year’s iHeartRadio Music Awards. The “Love In This Club” singer was excited to host and perform for the awards show.

“I’m so excited to host the 2020 iHeartRadio Music Awards and help celebrate the music that I and millions of other music lovers listened to this past year, he said back in January. “It’ll be like hanging out with old friends.”

Megan Thee Stallion is nominated for two iHeartRadio awards. She announced her nominations on her Instagram account and asked her fans to vote using the link in her bio. “Hey hotties we’re nominated for 2 awards at the @iheartradio music awards!” she wrote. “Best new hip hop artist and best lyrics! Use the link in my bio to vote!”

Lizzo raked up the nominations this year. She is nominated for Best New Pop Artist, Female Artist of the Year, and Best New Hip Hop Artist. Her hit song “Truth Hurts” is nominated for Song of the Year.

Summer Walker is making her iHeartRadio debut with nominations in the R&B Song of the Year, Best New R&B Artist and R&B Artist of the Year categories.

Chris Brown took home a nomination for R&B Artist of the Year and his hit song “No Guidance” took home a nomination for R&B Song of the Year.

The iHeartRadio Music Awards follows a long list of events that have been cancelled or postponed due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Coachella has been postponed until October. SXSW and Pharrell’s Something In The Water festival are postponed until 2021. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony has been postponed until further notice.
