Foolio is recovering after being shot at 100 times, the rapper revealed to his Instagram followers on Monday (Nov. 8). According to the Jacksonville, Florida native; a group of unidentified gunmen attacked him while he was leaving a recording studio in his hometown on Sunday night (Nov. 7).

Taking to his Instagram Story, Foolio claimed the assailants fired around 100 shots his way, but said he was only struck by one bullet that grazed his ankle.

“These n***as not no shooters,” he said on his Story, also revealing the unloaded gun he used to defend himself with against the attackers. “I emptied my whole clip on my daddy. Stop playing with me, n***a. And I ain’t get hit. I was grazed in the leg. Stop playin’.”

In a follow-up Story post, he wrote, “On treyd I got right in slides emptyed my whole clip u boys goofies I’m not dead so stop fakin for the internet.”

“Y’all missed a whole 100 shots literally,” he added about the attack. “THAT WAS VOODOO. THAT WAS MAJIC.”

It’s currently unclear who attacked Foolio or why he was targeted. The 22-year-old went viral earlier this year after releasing his diss track “When I See You,” which flipped Fantasia’s 2006 hit and was aimed at 23-year-old rapper Yungeen Ace. Foolio released the track after Ace, Whoppa Wit Da Choppa, Spinabenz and FastMoney Goon dropped their own viral diss song “Who I Smoke,” which sampled pop singer Vanessa Carlton’s 2001 song, “A Thousand Miles.”

This summer, Foolio dropped his 28-song album Love Me Like I’m Dead (Last Call) — a deluxe version of his 2020 offering, Love Me Like I’m Dead. The project saw features from Big Scarr, Cash Kidd and Slimelife Shawty and included his single, “Whip Bump.”
