The last few weeks have been pretty rough for Jeremih following his COVID-19 diagnosis, but he’s “still here.” On Wednesday morning (Dec. 9), the singer shared a selfie from his hospital bed and expressed gratitude for his life as well as the people who sent prayers for him while he was battling the virus.

“THANK GOD IM STILL HERE. THANK YA’LL FOR THE UP,” he wrote, adding, “#imbackkkk.”

As REVOLT previously reported, Jeremih was diagnosed with Coronavirus and taken to the ICU for medical assistance. Fans and celebrities fervently prayed for his progression, while Diddy and Chance the Rapper took things a bit further and referred his team to professionals that helped with the star’s treatment.

Jeremih gradually made his way out of ICU to a regular hospital room and was recently discharged from the Northwestern Hospital. Upon his release, he acknowledged all those who aided him during his recovery.

“First and foremost, I would like to thank God and the incredible team of doctors and nurses at Northwestern Hospital for saving my life. I will be forever grateful,” he said in a statement to ABC7.

“I would also like to thank my family and friends for all of their prayers and well wishes. I’m overwhelmed with gratitude,” he continued.

“A special thanks to Chance The Rapper, 50 Cent and Diddy for their love and support. I’m getting stronger everyday, and look forward to spending time with my sons. I would also like to thank all my fans, and people all over the world who have prayed for me.”

Jeremih insisted he is back in his recent post — a statement that applies to his health but also to his music career. The “Down on Me” vocalist is slated to release a joint compilation album with Chance titled Merry Christmas Lil Mama: The Gift That Keeps on Giving on Friday (Dec. 11).
