Lil Wayne is the latest celebrity to show his support for Donald Trump.

The “Let The Beat Build” emcee recently posted a photo with the president and gave him praise for what he has done with criminal reform and what he is planning to do in the Black community with his Platinum Plan.

“Just had a great meeting with @realdonaldtrump,” he tweeted. “Besides what he’s done so far with criminal reform, the Platinum Plan is going to give the community real ownership. He listened to what we had to say today and assured he will and can get it done.”

Last week, 50 Cent received backlash after he said that he was voting for Trump to avoid Joe Biden’s high tax rates. He shared a screenshot of Biden’s proposed tax plans for the states of California, New Jersey and New York. The list also included tax rates for New York City.

“WHAT THE FUCK! (VOTE For TRUMP) I’M OUT. FUCK NEW YORK. The KNICKS never win anyway. I don’t care Trump doesn’t like Black people. 62% are you out of ya fucking mind?” the Get Rich Or Die Tryin’ emcee captioned the post.

He immediately faced criticism from fans on social media. “50 Cent literally just declared himself a MAGA lunatic because he doesn’t want to pay more in taxes than impoverished Americans,” tweeted Twitter user @TheRickyDavila. “How nice of him to show he’s part of the same red hat-wearing, money-grifting group as Ice Cube and Kanye West. Makes me physically ill.”

Earlier this week, 50 retracted his endorsement and said that he “never liked” the politician. “Fu*k Donald Trump, I never liked him,” he tweeted. “For all I know, he had me set up and had my friend Angel Fernandez killed, but that’s history. LOL.”
