Donald Trump says he will not be happy to lose the election to Joe Biden. The president spoke to a crowd during a campaign event in Macon, Georgia, on Friday (Oct. 16) and said he is running against “the worst candidate in the history.” Trump mocked the Democratic hopeful’s campaign by saying that if he loses the upcoming presidential election in November against Biden, he might flee from the United States.

The president began by mocking the alleged low attendance at former vice president’s campaign events, and even quipped about Biden wearing large masks for safety amid the coronavirus pandemic to speak to the crowd even if there weren’t many people there.

“I shouldn’t joke because you know what? Running against the worst candidate in the history of presidential politics puts pressure on me. Could you imagine if I lose?” Trump continued, while the crowd cheered him on. “My whole life, what am I going to do? I’m going to say ‘I lost to the worst candidate in the history of politics.’ I’m not going to feel so good.”

He added: “Maybe I’ll have to leave the country? I don’t know.”

The president has previously shared similar sentiments about what would happen if he was to lose the election against Biden. He spoke to a crowd of supporters at a campaign rally in North Carolina in September and said they wouldn’t “see him again” if he lost in November.

“If I lose to him, I don’t know what I’m going to do,” he told the crowd. “I will never speak to you again. You’ll never see me again.” The Democratic candidate turned that statement into a political ad for his own campaign.

The New York Times reported Friday that Trump is trailing behind in the polls and is at a significant cash deficit compared to his opponent. Trump’s campaign announced this week that he raised over $247 million in September, while Biden’s campaign raised $383 million. “I could raise more money,” Trump said at the event. “I would be the world’s greatest fundraiser, but I just don’t want to do it.”
