Cardi B deletes Twitter, calls fans “weird” for “trying to control” her life

“A whole bunch of 15-year-olds trying to tell me how to live my life...like I came from Disney or something,” Cardi B said.

Social media has its ups and downs, even for celebrities. Though it can allow them to interact with fans and give updates on their lives, it also, unfortunately, leaves room for unwarranted opinions from social media trolls. Cardi B has often found herself the target of internet bullies, but after days of having to defend her actions and current relationship status, she decided to unplug.

The rapper recently deleted her Twitter account after fans invaded her privacy and tried to conduct her life.

“Trying to control my life is not constructive criticism,” she said on Instagram Live. “That shit is crazy and weird. A whole bunch of 15-year-olds trying to tell me how to live my life, like I’m motherfucking Ariana Grande or something, like I came from Disney or something.”

“So, what y’all want me to do? Y’all want me to date a new nigga,” she continued. “Y’all need to understand I’m not your regular average bitch. A regular average bitch can go fuck around with a nigga. She don’t like a nigga, [then] bye. I’m not that. I’m fucking Cardi B.”

Last month, Cardi filed for divorce from her husband Offset and asked for primary custody of their daughter Kulture Kiari. After the two were spotted together amid her birthday festivities, she confirmed they were back together, explaining it was difficult not to talk to her “best friend.” Her decision to reunite with the Migos member sparked negative commentary that ultimately upset the “WAP” star.

“I try my best to give y’all the best music,” she said. “The best to give y’all great content, but when it comes to my personal life and harassing my friends and family, y’all is out of control. The sad shit about it is it’s coming from my own fucking fanbase. That shit is crazy to me. Y’all is driving me nuts. That’s what’s going on.”
