Megan Thee Stallion joins BTS for their remix of “Butter”

The release comes after legal issues between Megan and her label.

BTS continue to take over the world. Last year, the massively successful K-Pop group released their ninth studio LP BE, an eight-track, Korean language-only body of work that landed them on the top of both the Gaon Music Chart and the Billboard 200 simultaneously. Two singles from the project, “Life Goes On” and “Dynamite,” also peaking at the top of the Hot 100.

This year thus far, BTS has continued to take over the charts and break records left and right with three singles — “Film Out,” “Permission to Dance,” and “Butter,” the last of which sees production from Ron Perry, Rob Grimaldi, and Stephen Kirk. Today (August 27), they upgrade “Butter” with a remix that now features Megan Thee Stallion, who delivers a message to both haters and those looking for some inspiration:

“Big boss, and I make a hater stay on they job, and I be on these girls necks like the back of they bobs, Houston’s finest, in the room with bosses, make ‘em all get ratchet in they suits and blouses, I remember writing flows in my room in college, now I need global entry to the shows I’m rocking, smooth like cocoa butter, my drip more than a puddle, they know that I’m the wave, take over every summer…”

Unfortunately, the remix of BTS and Megan’s “Butter (Remix)” wasn’t without issue. As previously reported by REVOLT, 1501 Certified Entertainment initially blocked the collaboration, forcing Megan to file a lawsuit — reportedly, BTS’ label, BigHit Music, even tried to work with Carl Crawford’s entity to no avail. Days prior to its eventual release, a Texas judge granted Stallion emergency relief, and here we are.
