Come July 30, fans will get to check out Dave East and Harry Fraud’s new album HOFFA, which comes with 14 tracks and collaborations alongside Benny The Butcher, G Herbo, Jim Jones, French Montana, Curren$y, the late Kiing Shooter, and more. Last week, we got our first taste of what to expect with “Diamonds,” a beautifully crafted effort that featured the street-conscious, introspective bars that East has become so popular for:

“Conversations with my momma, promise that I’m tryna change, grew up with ‘em, they not the same, noted everything I’ve lost, now I’m tryna gain, I had a plug, who started sellin’ weed ‘cause he was out of ‘caine, like a highway in Cali, this rap game got a lot of lanes, blood done hit these streets for years, the pavement got a lot of stains, they told me live your life before you check out, East and Harry Fraud, this dope the best out...”

The new visual for “Diamonds” is a departure from Dave East’s more recent drops, which is usually centered around shots of the Harlem emcee mobbing heavy somewhere on a New York City block. This go ‘round, the Will C and Crowned YB-directed clip begins with a dapper East entering into a restaurant as other suited gentleman watch, eventually making his way to a table in the back of the building with his closest compadres. As day turned to night, East is then seen being helped out of the establishment, having apparently partied harder than intended. Simply put, good times.

Back in May, East teamed up with Millyz for the EP Pablo & Blanco, a six-song body of work with additional appearances from Shy Gawdly and Statik Selektah. Earlier this week, the duo dropped off a new video from said release for “Trafficking Bizzness.”
