Rico Nasty fans will definitely be eating well this summer. Last month, the DMV star announced that she would be releasing a new project, titled Rx, sometime before this season’s end. Today, she gives fans a taste of what to expect with “Magic,” an Avedon-produced effort that sees Rico harmonizing about that special someone:

“I be busy but I like to spend my time with you, life is what you make it, I wanna spend mine with you, stamped passports, foreign dashboards, buy you gifts that you ain’t asked for, that’s why you get more, I know that it’s people wishin’ bad on us, I get to see the side you don’t show no one, but I’m glad to know it…”

Judging from Rico’s social media, the masses should be expecting a larger than life visual for “Magic” — or another single — to arrive sooner than later.

Upon its release, Rx will follow last December’s Nightmare Vacation, Rico Nasty’s official debut LP that saw 16 tracks with additional features from Gucci Mane, Don Toliver, Aminé, Trippie Redd, ppcocaine, Sukihana, and Rubi Rose. In addition to her own drops, Rico could also be heard on plenty of tracks from her peers, including Mahalia’s “Jealous,” Juicy J’s “TAKE IT,” IDK and YungManny’s “495,” Kali Uchis’ “Aquí Yo Mando,” Kidd Kenn’s “Moves,” Jasiah’s “Art of War,” and Kali’s “Do A Bitch (Remix).”

Back in 2019, Rico Nasty’s already solidified status seemed to have increased exponentially with her inclusion into XXL’s highly coveted Freshman class. That honor saw her joining the likes of Gunna, Cordae, Blueface, DaBaby, Megan Thee Stallion, Roddy Ricch, and Tierra Whack — making for what’s turned out to be one of the most successful groups in the magazine’s series history.

Press play on “Magic,” and look out for Rx to arrive soon.
