Just last week, Wesley Joseph unleashed his ULTRAMARINE project. The 8-track body of work clocked in at just 26 minutes in length and included one sole feature from Jorja Smith. Accompanying the release, he also delivered the official music video for the Jorja-assisted “Patience” track. On the song, Wesley sets the tone with his opening verse as the duo goes for a ride together:

We ain’t goin’ nowhere, so nobody leavin’/ See the brochure, lookin’ like it gonna be a cold season/ Even for the worst days, facin’ defeat, we could fly to Eden/ Keepin’ a place for the lost souls, so I’m still rollin’ with old feelings, uh

Back then in Nate’s ride, sittin’ passenger side/ Bangin’ out yesterday’s shoes, feelin’ bigger than life/ Closed eyеs, always feelin’ the vibe, remеmber sittin’ with my force in the park after dark

In terms of what Jorja has been up to, she released her Be Right Back EP just last month. The project sees eight songs and a single assist from Shaybo. It’s been three years since Jorja Smith blessed us with her debut LP Lost & Found, a 12-track project that received critical acclaim and pushed the rising songstress to the forefront of today’s soul and R&B. In addition to landing on charts around the globe, the album also helped Smith earn a Best British Female Artist Award at the 2019 Brit Awards, as well as a Grammy nod for Best New Artist in the same year. In addition to Lost & Found, Smith also liberated loose cuts like “Be Honest” with Burna Boy and “Come Over” with Popcaan, and contributed to songs by Maverick Sabra, Enny, and Brent Faiyaz’s Sonder.
