This month, viewers will get a chance to tune in to the musical drama “Queens,” which stars Brandy, Naturi Naughton, Nadine Velazquez, and Eve as the fictional 90’s group Nasty Bitches, made up of individual rappers Xplicit Lyrics, Jill Da Thrill, Butter Pecan, and Professor Sex, respectively. The show will see the legendary collective attempt to reunite as older artists looking to reclaim their former glory.

In promotion of “Queens,” the foursome have decided to bless the masses with a new single titled “Nasty Girl,” a Swizz Beatz, Avenue Beatz, Sean C., and Grady Spivey III-produced offering that sees the women in full-on emcee mode, reminding listeners why they’re still the baddest in the game:

“Poom poom, nani nani, my nani dripped in gold, zoom zoom in Ferrari’s, fly me around the globe, nasty by nature, treachorous in them heels, it’s P. Sex, I make em’ pay a couple of bills, it’s a stick up, stick up, on the pole watch this bad gal lift up, lift up, and drop, drop it like it’s hot, give it to you good make you rise to the top, sassy intelligence, knock ‘em out the box...”

The accompanying visual for “Nasty Girl” begins with Eve arriving to a mansion by helicopter, before the residence explodes and she’s seen with her group members on a yacht. Brandy closes out the appearance with her arrival by jet ski, and — altogether — makes for the type of big budget clip that rivals real life visuals by the likes of The Notorious B.I.G., Busta Rhymes, and Missy Elliott prior to the turn of the century.

Via an official statement, the ladies of “Queens” further explained the creation of the larger than life video:

“As artists who came up in the ’90s, ‘Nasty Girl’ is our love letter to the groundbreaking music and hip-hop culture of the era. Filming the music video on a yacht in Miami, with the champagne flowing and pyrotechnics blasting, stirred up a sense of nostalgia and pride in how far we have come as artists. To still be in the game today and supporting each other along the way is what our show “Queens” is all about.”
