Cam’ron is acting (up) again. According to Shadow and Act, Killa is set to hit the small screen in a recurring role on ABC’s forthcoming musical drama series “Queens.” The Harlem-bred rapper is joining a cast that already includes Brandy, Eve, Nadine Velazquez and Naturi Naughton.

ABC describes “Queens” as a new drama that “follows four women in their 40s who reunite for a chance to recapture their fame and regain the swagger they had in the ‘90s when they were legends in the hip hop world.” It’s executive produced by Zahir McGhee, Sabrina Wind, and Tim Story.

Cam, according to Shadow and Act, will reportedly play a rapper who was featured on one of the group’s major hits. He also is linked to Brandy’s character Naomi as a former love interest that has come back into her life.

If you’ve seen Cam’s Instagram lately, it’s evident the Dipset frontman has been spending a lot of time on set with Brandy. The two have shared several comical skits on the social media platform, perhaps in an effort to draw interest for the show.

In mid August, Killa began sharing IG pics and reels of his time backstage shooting with the cast. In one visual, Cam sits opposite of Brandy in a director’s chair and attempts to explain to her that eleven should be “oneyone.” “I don’t know why @Brandy doesn’t see my vision,” he wrote in the caption. “Love working with you fam,” Brandy commented. “You make me laugh.”

In another skit shared via both Cam and Brandy’s IG, Brandy dons a pink robe and raps Cam’s lyrics in front of a mirror. When she questions Cam’s famous “computer’s puting” lyric, he magically appears behind her. “Let me just start by saying I’m just here to do my part. I’m just a small fish in a big pond. I come early, leave late and walk a straight line… So I want to state my displeasure with @Brandy being in my trailer at 6am, rummaging through my personal garments, then question me about lyrics.”

While Brandy and Cam have never recorded an official track together, there’s clearly chemistry between the two. It will be interesting to see how it translates on the small screen this fall. “Queens” premieres Tuesday, Oct. 19 on ABC.
