Louisville rapper 2KBABY is back today with his introspective new single “Luigi” featuring Chicago legend Chief Keef. The track also arrives with a striking video directed by Jay Pusha, which features a harrowing trip to the hospital and a chaotic bank robbery. As the visual opens up with a hospital scene, Sosa delivers his somber reflective bars:

Gimmy got shot, Lemmy had got stabbed, gang come through, bitch, clear the path/ You can’t count me out, you can’t do math, she hate my n***as, they too wild/ I just pulled up, in a droptop ‘Rarri this some VLONEs on my truck, hello Bari

Mommy, if I made you cry, then I’m sorry, Granny, I didn’t mean to sneak out to them parties/ Baby, I ain’t mean to hurt your heart, girl, I’m sorry, all my life, I’ve been in the fuckin’ dark/

The song follows 2KBABY’s recent singles “Zack & Cody” with DDG, and the anthemic “Great White.” Earlier this year, he also put out “Like This,” a collaboration wit esteemed EDM and pop producer Marshmello. In January, 2KBABY released the two-track package, THE 2K STIMULUS. It’s been a productive year since he touched down in 2020 with his debut EP Pregame Rituals. That EP included a feature from G Herbo, as well as his RIAA Gold-certified hit, “Old Streets.”

It’s been about a year since Chief Keef dropped off the projects The Glofiles (Pt. 4) and Extra Glo. Since then, the Chicago veteran has revealed the loose singles “Bang Bang,” “Status,” and “Harley Quinn,” all of which were created alongside Mike WiLL Made-It and has generated extreme interest in a full-length release from the duo. Outside of his own work, Keef has also been heard on drops like Lil Gnar’s “New Bugatti,” Lil Tecca’s “Choppa Shoot The Loudest,” and Ballout’s Red Eye.
