Griselda as a whole had one of the best runs in 2020, and Conway The Machine is wasting no time making sure to let folks know he’s taking no breaks in 2021. The rapper recently linked up with Big Ghost LTD for the new track “Toast,” which sees soulful production from Ghost as Conway shows off his wordplay:

Lot of blemishes in your records, it’s a few errors, so you built a brand off of cap like New Era. Still a $2000 shoe-wearer, Christian Loubs, I got few pair of, two-door coupe steerer. New Fear Of God on my body, something to shoot near it. If its a booth near, I’m in that bitch spittin’ truth serum.

The new track is the first taste of Big Ghost LTD’s upcoming project IF IT BLEEDS IT CAN BE KILLED. Ghost announced the arrival of the track with a lengthy Instagram caption, where he unapologetically keeps it a buck with his hip-hop peers, saying this will always be a competition at the end of the day. “We can all be friends n pat each other on the back n leave friendly little emojis for one another in IG comments.. but at the end of the day hip hop is still a competitive culture by nature AND design,” he writes in his caption. He then goes on to talk about how you can never let your guard down, or people will take advantage. “We can all coexist peacefully n everybody can eat.. But you let ya guard down n mfs will push you down a flight of stairs to keep you from getting to the next level.”

Back in September, Conway The Machine released his debut solo LP From King to a GOD, which saw 14 tracks and additional features from DeJ Loaf, Method Man, Havoc, Lloyd Banks, Armani Caesar, Freddie Gibbs, Benny The Butcher, Westside Gunn, and more. He later on unleashed a deluxe version of the album that saw an additional five cuts.
