Currently, Megan Thee Stallion is one of the latest artists reaping the benefits of social media platform Tik Tok, which has allowed fans to turn catchy, dance-ready songs into viral successes. In Meg’s case, it’s in regards to her new single “Savage,” which is taken from her latest release SUGA. Since a fan helped bring the dance challenge to life, other celebrities — including Normani, Jessica Alba, and even the Biebers — have taken to Tik Tok to dance as well. Recently, Megan even performed the challenge while wearing Rihanna’s Fenty lingerie line, guaranteeing a longer lifespan for the the J. White Did It-produced cut.

The song itself keeps the same raw energy of Megan Thee Stallion’s older hits, complete with hard-hitting bars about being the baddest chick in the game:

I’m the hood Mona Lisa, break a n***a into pieces, had to X some cheesy n***as out my circle like a pizza/

I’m way too exclusive, I don’t shop on Insta’ boutiques, all them lil’ ass clothes only fit fake booties/

Bad b***h, still talking cash s***, p***y like water, I’m unbothered and relaxing/

I would never trip on a n***a if I had him, b***h, that’s my trash, you the maid, so you bagged him…/”

The Gracie Rothey-created clip sees an animated Megan Thee Stallion doing the now-famous Tik Tok dance as the lyrics pass through on screen. Presumably, an official music video isn’t too far away.

In related news, Megan was also featured in Marie Claire’s May issue, where she spoke on her recent legal issues with her label, family and support system, and career goals, which she’s never wavered on from youth:

“I never had a plan B; I always had two plan As. I knew I wanted to go to school, but I knew I wanted to pursue music… When you really want to do something, you’re really going to put your mind to doing it. And I really want to do both. I have to do both.”
