As the world knows, Mariah Carey doesn’t play around when it comes to the holidays. Since its creation in 1994, the singer’s iconic track “All I Want For Christmas Is You” consistently returned to glory on an annual basis. Back in December 2022, the song found its way back to the top of the Billboard Hot 100.

On Monday (Oct. 2), Carey decided to get ahead of the game in 2023 by announcing her “Merry Christmas One And All! Tour,” which will kick off in November and traverse through several North American cities until its closing stop in New York City, one week prior to Dec. 25. Tickets for the special run go on sale this Friday (Oct. 6).

In an interview with REVOLT, Carey spoke about how it felt to watch the aforementioned track reach the 1 billion stream mark and earn a diamond certification.

“It’s an amazing thing and I’m very thankful. I can’t believe this song I wrote so long ago when I first started… Christmas songs take a while to permeate the culture, you know what I mean?” the R&B icon said. “It’s an honor and, honestly, it’s all because of my fans. Even people who aren’t necessarily my fans, they’re just like, ‘Whatever, we like that song.’ It’s a huge honor and I’m thankful for all of it. The billion streams, the diamond award, all of it.”
