The widely anticipated visuals of the whirlwind experience that is Beyoncé’s “Renaissance World Tour” are finally nearing the light of day. The BeyHive has been holding out hope for videos, a documentary released on streaming platforms, a movie, or anything else since the singer released her seventh studio album in July 2022.

The months of following the trail of breadcrumbs of a secret project led to a Variety exclusive today (Sept. 30), confirming that the singer’s team is in “advanced talks to distribute directly to AMC Theatres.” The trade publication spoke with a source who claims the film includes years of footage — from live performances, the visual Renaissance album, the making of the body of work, and tour moments.

To fans’ confusion, a trailer teasing Act I of the three-part Renaissance saga has been the only visual asset released for fan consumption. When her global trek kicked off in May, Beyoncé supporters were convinced that the grand-scale production would be used in some sort of cinematic fashion, encapsulating the pop icon’s artistry and cultural impact.

Inklings of recordings grew as concertgoers at select shows noticed cards informing them to mute during the viral mute challenge. And most recently, in Houston and New Orleans, attendees were given LED bracelets that change colors in sync with the show’s lighting.

Suspicions reached a fever pitch when fans noticed that AMC Theatres CEO Adam Aron began following Queen Bey on Instagram days ahead of her final performance on Saturday (Sept. 30) in Kansas City, Missouri — fan lore also includes making connections between Aron’s birthday being on the 30th and AMC Theatres being headquartered in Kansas.

The “Cuff It” songstress attempted to put demands for album-related content to bed in May when she coyly told her fans that they were the visuals. Instead, it seemed to fuel their hunt for any clues confirming that she had something major in the works. Heading into the tour finale, it was revealed that the multihyphenated talent is projected to have sold $560 million in ticket sales and boosted the US economy with $4.5 billion, all from people spending money to see her shows and business owners benefiting from the uptick in consumerism.

Kanye West famously said that “no one man should have that power,” but he never said anything about a woman because Beyoncé certainly has all of it.
