Back in 2020, Skillibeng liberated The Prodigy, which came with a whopping 35 songs and additional assists from Charlie Pro, Jakal, Jada Kingdom, Dre Island, Prince Swanny, Dovey Magnum, Quenga, Tommy Lee Sparta, and Popcaan — the last of whom appeared on the Dane Ray-produced “Pree,” which sees the collaborators keeping with the street-oriented subject matter that both are known for:

“You seh, white like ah chalk when mi touch e Neoprosone, Black life matter, but mi still haffi ketch e tone, bare gyal ah call as mi lef’ mi home, bare gyal ah call dung mi telephone, and mi skin ah buzz, mi skin ah buzz, how yuh fi badmind through Poppy trim ah buzz? Couple shot inna yuh face when di zig ah buss, drop e top inna e Range and mi spliff ah bun, ah mi skin ah dweet, gyal waan fuck, anuh mi lip ah dweet, ah mi dick ah dweet…”

This week, “Pree” sees an animated visual courtesy of Nerv for Out Deh Records, which matches the song’s subject matter with shots of Skillibeng enjoying a smoke, being surrounded by women, falling into empty space, taking a motorcycle ride, and more. A virtual Popcaan also appears as the two rock matching jerseys with their named adorned on the back.

Last year, Skillibeng drops off Crocodile Teeth LP, a continuation of his wildly successful hit single that contained 12 cuts and additional contributions from Stefflon Don, Popcaan, Rich The Kid, Spice, Davianah, Lil Zack, and Bobby Shmurda. Prior to that, fans were able to enjoy a wealth of loose drops and collaborations from Skillibeng, including “Money Tree,” “Grade 1,” “Internet War,” “Soso Badniss,” “Time With You” with Laza Morgan, “Mission,” “East Syde” with Quenga and F.S., and “Wollan” with Unknown T. 2021 also saw The Prodigy: Ladies Only Edition, a 21-track effort with notable contributions from Rich The Kid, Jay Critch, Honey Milan, Shotta G, Projexx, and more.
