Soulja Boy‘s work rate remains in high gear well into 2022. Over the weekend, the SODMG head honcho liberated another single titled “Metaverse,” an 8goincrazy-produced offering that sees Soulja mixing his usual rich lifestyle-based subject matter with references to the lucrative crypto industry:

“I done got lost in the metaverse, I done got lost in the metaverse, swiping and swiping, Decentraland, swipe wit’ my youngin’, I ran up a hunnid bands, bettin’ on Bitcoin, it came from the Instagram, water, it’s covered in VV’s, ran up the millions on OpenSeas, 250 thousand for a new NFT, swipe that Bitcoin, got my guap up, I might go Bored Ape Yacht Club…”

Last year, Soulja Boy Tell ‘Em made his proverbial return to glory via the runaway hit “She Make It Clap,” and then kept the momentum going with singles like “Rick & Morty,” “Mad,” “Copy & Paste” with T.I., “Squid Game,” “Pulling Up,” and the remix for “She Make It Clap” with French Montana. He’s also liberated projects like Rich Off A Computer, Big Draco, No Looking Back, Swag 4, and Big Draco 2, along with collaborations with the likes of Bow Wow, Tadoe, Desiigner, Omarion, Lil’ Twist, and Skinnyfromthe9.

As previously reported by REVOLT, Soulja Boy recently provided some advice to rappers looking to achieve his level of fame and success — simply put, you can’t be in music and entertainment while you’re still active in the streets:

“To everybody that’s out there listening, man, if you want to be a rapper and take it seriously, you can’t have one foot in and one foot out, man … You got to have both feet in, man. You know what I’m saying? A lot of people want to be in the streets and rap at the same time, which is what the people want because it’s our life story.”

Press play on “Metaverse.”
