Curren$y’s fans have to be one of the most spoiled groups in hip hop now. This year, the New Orleans legend has been keeping the masses well-fed with February’s The Collection Agency, June’s Welcome to Jet Life Recordings 2 with his Jet Life collective, August’s Highest in Charge with Trauma Tone, September’s Matching Rolexes with Kino Beats, and — just last month — Still Stoned On Ocean, the sequel to 2016’s Stoned On Ocean, and Regatta, an 8-track joint effort with Harry Fraud that sees eight songs and collaborations alongside 2 Chainz, Larry June, Styles P, and Jay Worthy. It would be remiss not to also include Spitta’s NFT project Financial District in celebration of 4/20.

Today, Curren$y unveils a new video for the Worthy-assisted Regatta standout “The Venture Cup,” a beautifully produced, laid-back affair that sees the artists living the good life on wax:

“Survived them record deals, I’m still here, my nigga, by special delivery, like G.Dep and Diddy, I never left my city, other places are pretty, I do travel and visit, but you know where I’m livin’, woke up this mornin’, I thank God, and then I lit my sticky, I got fresh and stepped to the Bentley, lookin’ at projections, my business partner just sent to me, positive energy…”

The accompanying clip for “The Venture Cup” is just as chilled out as the single. Viewers can see what appears to be Curren$y hosting a small kick-back with his west coast counterpart at his residence, where they pour up champagne, light up, and chill outside amongst Curren$y’s increasingly iconic car collection. The scene gives off Sunday cookout vibes, with everyone enjoying the good weather before winter officially arrives.
