Another weekend approached, and Bobby Shmurda has some new heat for his fans to enjoy. Today (Nov. 4), the Brooklyn rhymer liberates “Splash,” which sees production from Danny Wolf and Aloy. Judging from his social media, the track will also see a flashy visual to match, with shots of Shmurda delivering his best dance moves in a penthouse condo surrounded by CGI sharks and on a speedboat with a bevy of beautiful women.

Interestingly enough, “fans” have taken to criticizing Shmurda for said dancing when it was first teased on his Instagram account. One commenter wrote, “Y u keep shakin ur hips like that b,” while another stated, “Prison has got this man twerking to music videos now” — fortunately, A-list peers like Busta Rhymes, Lance Stephenson, and fellow GS9 peer Fetty Luciano provided support to counteract the more negative output.

Shmurda first made his post-prison return to wax on Eladio Carrión, J Balvin, and Daddy Yankee’s “Tata (Remix)” back in July. September then saw Shmurda drop off his official comeback single “No Time For Sleep (Freestyle),” complete with a matching visual that sees him in full-on military mode. Last week, he continued to build momentum with “Cartier Lens,” further boosting hopes that his official debut LP is somewhere on the horizon.

Last month saw Shmurda giving back to his community by providing backpacks to several different school in and around NYC. As previously reported by REVOLT, a video could be seen sending a message to students:

“Please do not give your mommas … your teachers no trouble this year … I want to say that I’m proud of y’all for being brave, for being strong, and for staying in school … Always remember you guys are unstoppable. You can do anything you set your mind to.”

Press play on “Splash” below, and look out for plenty more from Bobby Shmurda soon.
