Last week, Problem delivered his latest body of work Smoke Break, which comes with four smooth cuts and somewhat continues the themes found on August’s Coffee Break EP. Thus far, we’ve seen some cool videos from Smoke Break for “Standing Ovation” and “Just Outside (Remix)” — yesterday (Oct. 19), the Compton emcee kept it going with another for “Lionel Richy,” a Vangogh-produced effort that features Airplane James and sees Problem rapping to a former love interest that’s apparently in a new relationship:

“How that pussy doing? Heard you got a man now, how that rookie doing? Yea, can he handle it? Prolly not, ‘cause you still out here scandalous, I hear you still love to turn up to my sex raps, if he was handlin’ the shit, you wouldn’t have text back, okay, I can expect that, but you ain’t livin’ how you could, I don’t respect that…”

The Taylor Bonin-directed video sees Problem making a visit to a coffee shop, where he finds his ex on a date with another guy. Keeping things cool, he heads to another seat while said woman looks on in varied emotions and the other individual remains completely oblivious to the circumstances. Airplane James delivers his hook from nearby before Problem heads out to complete his day.

Both Coffee Break and Smoke Break follow the well-received Coffee & Kush, Vol. 2, which made landfall in September of last year and acted as the sequel to Coffee & Kush, Vol. 1. Originally, Vol. 2 saw 11 tracks with contributions from Tyrese, Jack Harlow, Jay Rock, Terrace Martin, Freddie Gibbs, and Problem’s “DIM MY LIGHT” collaborator Snoop Dogg, among other — the Don Cannon-backed “Just Outside” has since been removed from streaming platforms (its video is thankfully still on YouTube) and replaced with its aforementioned remix, now produced by CHASETHEMONEY.
