Naturi Naughton revealed that her former girl group 3LW used a rented home when they taped their episode of “MTV Cribs.”

During a recent appearance on “The Breakfast Club” to promote her new ABC series “Queens,” the actress said she, Adrienne Bailon and Kiely Williams used someone else’s crib for the hit show. “There are moments though, when I’m in scene, like, ‘Yo, this really happened to me,’” she said. “I lived it. I was doing a fake ‘Cribs’ … MTV did the ‘Cribs’ and back when 3LW was hot, we had to pretend. But I didn’t have a car, I didn’t have a house, I didn’t have any of those things. … But we did ‘MTV Cribs.’”

Naughton said that an episode of “Queens” was “very similar to that… where you see how fake we have to project this image and I literally did that and had to clean the house by seven o’clock to give it back to the owner.” She clarified that they hired someone to clean the home. “We had to clean up all of our stuff, get a cleaning person,” the “Power” actress added. “It wasn’t that bad, but things were bad.”

During 3LW’s episode of “Cribs,” the “Playas Gon’ Play” singers showed off a huge mansion. Williams explained how the women were originally leasing, but after 9/11, they decided to purchase the home and record their sophomore album.

Naughton was a member of the group from 1999 to 2002. She later left the trio after having several altercations with the other ladies. Williams reportedly threw fried chicken at Naughton during one incident. After going solo, she began to branch out as an actress. In 2008, she was cast to portray Lil Kim in Notorious, a biopic about the life of The Notorious B.I.G. She currently stars as Tasha St. Patrick on “Power Book II: Ghost” and as Jill on “Queens.”
