Last December, Kid Cudi made a huge return with his seventh studio LP Man on the Moon III: The Chosen, which contained 18 tracks broken down into four acts — the project also saw contributions from Skepta, Pop Smoke, Phoebe Bridgers, and Trippie Redd. The third installment of Cudi’s critically acclaimed Man on the Moon series served as both a critical and commercial success for the Cleveland star, landing him his fifth top 10 album on the Billboard 200 thanks to 144,000 album equivalent units sold during its first week of release.

Over the weekend, Cudi decided to unveil a new visual from Man on the Moon III for “Mr. Solo Dolo III,” a track that he produced alongside Audio Anthem, Dot Da Genius, and Plain Pat. Much like past efforts, the track sees Cudi opening up about his addictions and mental health struggles throughout his career:

“Say, ‘I’m waitin’ to die,’ I cry, many nights I spent gettin’ fucked up, livin’ a lie, prayin’, I’m just fed up, this tequila in me, don’t tell me to be cool, this is how cool I can be, woah, you can try and read my mind, been pushin’ it for days, I’m on a mission to climb, woah, losin’ rеality, been sayin’ I’m fine, try my hardest to sleep…”

Courtesy of Jason Goldwatch, the accompanying clip for “Mr. Solo Dolo III” is filled with shots of Cudi enjoying his vices in different scenarios — even when what appears to be a major car accident happens in front of him, he remains high in his own world.

One cameo that viewers are sure to see in the clip is Cudi’s dog Freshie, who sadly transitioned back in August. As previously reported by REVOLT, Cudi revealed his canine friend’s final moments via social media:

“I held his hand and whispered in his ear to let him know I was there while he slipped away. I told him he was a special boy, my best friend, and that he was perfect and that I loved him so much.”
