Morr’s official cause of death has also been revealed by authorities.

This past Sunday (August 29), social media influencer and model Miss Mercedes Morr was found dead in her Richmond, TX home. According to the Fort Bend County Medical Examiner’s Office, Moore — real name Janae Gagnier — died of strangulation and traumatic concussion. Also found within her residence was the body of a man later identified as 34-year-old Kevin Alexander Accorto, who’s death was confirmed via suicide by multiple sharp force trauma. While a motive is still being investigated, it is presumed that the two did not know each other personally.

Neighbors of Morr — including Roderick Shaw — spoke to WPRC 2 Houston after learning of the tragic details Monday:

”What I thought was safe it seems is not. We have so many rules and so many guidelines I would never expect someone to breach our security and someone be murdered on this property.”

Morr’s father, Mark Gagnier, spoke to ABC 13 about his loss, revealing his fears in regards to his daughter’s increasing internet fame. Despite this, he still never imagined what he would see upon his visit to Morr’s apartment Sunday evening:

“I know my daughter and when I got to my daughter’s house and it was locked up and she’s not answering my phone call, which is not like her, I knew something was up. So I didn’t hesitate to kick the door down … What I saw, I wouldn’t want any parent to go through.”

He also spoke on seeing Accorto “twitching” and “gurgling” in an upstairs room with “writings all over the wall” — Morr’s family believes that he was a crazed stalker, though they aren’t sure how he managed to find her location.

“I don’t know how he found her and I don’t know how all this happened.”

Since Morr’s passing, celebrity peers like Trae Tha Truth, Deelishis, K Camp, YG, Bow Wow, and Soulja Boy continued to send condolences via posts on her Instagram account.
