The collaboration is taken from the forthcoming Marvel film ‘Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.’

Next month, Marvel will unveil Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, the latest film in their cinematic universe. Today (August 20), we get to hear a brand new single from its accompanying soundtrack — Jhené Aiko and Swae Lee’s “In The Dark.” The collab track arrives just at the heels of the previously released “Run It” which is DJ Snake, Rick Ross, and Rich Brian’s song from the same soundtrack. On the new “In The Dark,” Swae Lee sets the tone for the track as he takes the opening chorus and verse:

Don’t leave me in the dark, I deserve more, I’m somebody’s reward/ Don’t leave me in the dark, I deserve more, I’m somebody’s reward/ Yeah, I gave her good vibes, oh, you had a good run, I’m far from a regular person/ All my cars parked inside my garage

I give ‘em six thousand, they have a ball/ My wrist speakin’ lake and that water fall, I’m preachin’ to you, so listen up/ Only real ones with me know my wrongs, she usin’ her brain, that curriculum

Also from the same soundtrack is Rich Brian and 21 Savage’s “Lazy Susan,” a Wes Singerman, Tay Dex, Kid Hazel, Chong the Nomad, and Rogét Chahayed-produced cut that sees additional assistance from Indonesian singer Warren Hue and Chinese emcee Masiwei (马思唯). Recently, Swae Lee assisted PnB Rock for his new “Forever Never” track alongside Pink Sweat$.

Last year in March, Aiko unveiled her third studio album Chilombo. From the project, she also dropped a music video for her song “A&B.” The 20 track-album included features from Ab-Soul, Big Sean, Future, Miguel, Nas, H.E.R., John Legend, Ty Dolla $ign, and debuted at the number two spot on the Billboard 200 thanks to an impressive 152,000 album-equivalent units sold during its first week of release. Months after, she unleashed a deluxe version of the album.

Be sure to press play on Swae Lee and Jhené Aiko’s brand new collab track.
