DJ Khaled’s got another one.

On Sunday (Aug. 1), the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) certified Khaled’s Lil Baby and Lil Durk-assisted single, “Every Chance I Get” platinum. The song belongs to the irrepressible DJ’s latest album, KHALED KHALED, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart when it dropped a few months ago.

“Every Chance I Get” is a banger that features Durk and Baby’s customary combination of melody and aspirational bars. The message is clear: they’re going to flex on their haters and do everything to the max in every available moment.

“I’ma turn up on a hater every chance that I get/I want the biggest watch that they got, don’t care if that shit hurt my wrist/All these hoes fuck on us all, I wish I would claim that bitch/They get hard when they get guns, we got a hood full of sticks,” Baby raps on the hook for the track, which was co-produced by Tay Keith and Khaled himself.

The success of “Every Chance I Get” is yet another testament to Khaled’s knack for generating hit songs through a natural sense of what does and doesn’t work. Of course, Lil Baby and Durk more than do their part for the track, which is an example of just how effective they are as collaborators.

Fans saw their chemistry at work for an extended period of time when the two released The Voice of the Heroes, a joint album that dropped back in June. Filled with melodies and vivid tales from the trenches, the album is one that sees both artists in their natural element. The commercial results of the project mirror its artistic success.

After moving 150,000 equivalent album units in its first week, The Voice of the Heroes debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 charts. Needless to say, that’s pretty good. Now, the two have also got another accolade to hang on their walls.
