Back in November, Davido released his third studio LP A Better Time, a continuation of 2019’s A Good Time that saw 17 tracks with additional features from Nicki Minaj, Mugeez, Lil Baby, Nas, Hit-Boy, Bella Shmurda, and more. Today (July 16), the Nigerian star reveals a matching visual for “Shopping Spree,” which features Chris Brown and Young Thug and sees the trio harmonizing to their respective love interests over production from Masterdon:

“Keep bendin’ up with the vibe, yeah, fuck me like a slut and be the wife, articulatin’, said she tryna ride, I told her make a wish, she gon’ be mine, yeah, bring me your love, you better not die, everything I’m on, shawty say she on, she put that shit on, panties in a bunch, Don Corleone, yellow diamonds like the sun…”

Directed by Des Gray, the accompanying clip for “Shopping Spree” begins with what looks like a high school or college scene, as Davido woos a woman in a crowded hallway as another couple bond in an adjacent scene. Things then move to an art class, with Thugger teaching his students how to create a masterpiece. Towards the end is a pretty big celebration, all interspersed with Brown in an almost empty room full of chairs — a socially-distant auditorium, perhaps. All-in-all, it’s a lively video that fans of all three will be sure to enjoy.

Interestingly enough, last year also saw Young Thug and Chris Brown join forces on the well-received body of work Slime & B, which contained 13 cuts with contributions from HoodyBaby, E-40, Too $hort, Gunna, Lil Duke, Shad Da God, and Major Nine. Slime & B’s standout single, the top three-charting “Go Crazy,” later saw a remix with the additions of Latto, Lil Durk, and Future.
