Today, Doja Cat unveils her third studio LP Planet Her, which sees 14 tracks with additional appearances from SZA, JID, Young Thug, Ariana Grande, and The Weeknd — the last of whom joined Doja on the Dr. Luke-produced “You Right,” an R&B cut that also essentially acts as an ode to cheating:

“I got a man but, I want you, and it’s just nerves, it’s just dick, making me think ‘bout someone new, you know I got so much to say, I try to hide it in my face, and it don’t work, you see through, that I just want to get with you, and you’re right, you right, I got my guy, but I, I can’t help it, I want you…”

In addition to the album release, “You Right” also received an accompanying music video courtesy of Quentin Deronzier, which whisks the viewers to a palatial fantasy world — presumably titled Planet Her in regards to the album concept — that’s fit for alien royalty. Doja can be seen in different areas while with an oblivious significant other before a well-suited, god-like The Weeknd appears to perform the song with his counterpart.

Planet Her follows 2019’s Hot Pink, Doja Cat’s breakthrough body of work that saw 12 songs with contributions from Gucci Mane, Tyga, and Smino. The album eventually peaked within the top 10 of the Billboard 200, eventually earning Doja a Gold certification in the United States and Gold and Platinum plaques in other countries around the world. Even better, Hot Pink also spawned the successful singles “Juicy,” “Cyber Sex,” “Rules,” “Like That,” and — most importantly — “Say So,” which topped Billboard’s Hot 100 chart partially thanks to a Nicki Minaj-assisted remix. Given her trajectory, one can expect Doja’s new drops to fare even better in the weeks and months to come.

Press play on Doja Cat and The Weekend’s “You Right” video, as well as — if you missed it — the previously released visual for “Need To Know.”
