For her first release of 2021, Ariana Grande gives a fresh paint job to her October 2020 hit “34+35.” For its official remix, Ari enlists the help of two fellow superstars Doja Cat and Megan Thee Stallion to add their flare to the already well-loved track. On her verse, Doja slides in with the energy to match the song’s seductive message:

I want your body and I make it obvious. Wake up the neighbors, we got an audience. They hear us clapping, but we not applauding. At six o’clock with no crushing. Then it gets seven o’clock and he want it. Then it hit eight o’clock, you said, “Fuck it.” Forget your girl, pretend that I’m her. You make the cat purr, you make my back hurt, ayy. Making that squirt, a rain, a shower, it’s sprayin’. Now that’s perfect, baby, we don’t sleep enough.

The remix of the Positions stand-out doesn’t come as a complete surprise, as excited rumors were swirling around social media for the last two month. A low-quality snippet of the track surfaced on file-sharing websites near the end of last year. In November, Doja Cat even recited her verse via an Instagram Live. In other Doja Cat-related news, she also recently hopped on another girl anthem when she linked up with Saweetie for their freshly released collab track “Best Friend.” Her last full-length project was 2019’s Hot Pink, which boasts her mega-hits “Say So” and “Juicy.”

Megan is enjoying the success of her debut album and its lead single “Body,” which has taken social media by an absolute storm. She also hopped on DJ Chose’s remix to his viral hit “Thick.” Right before quarantine hit last year, Megan delivered her EP Suga, which contains nine cuts and assists from Kehlani and Gunna. One standout from Suga in particular, the viral “Savage,” received a remix courtesy of Beyoncé and subsequently earned Megan Thee Stallion her first number one single on the Billboard Hot 100.
