Back in November of last year, Masego took us around the world with his sonically adventurous Studying Abroad EP. He then circled back around to release a deluxe version, cleverly titling it Studying Abroad: Extended Stay. For his latest offering, he recruits Sheléa and delivers a brand new lyric video for their collab track “Bliss Abroad” from the project. While surrounded by beautiful and calming hues of blue, Masego sticks to the theme and details the wonderful places he longs to go:

I’ve been wantin’ to go St. Lucia for time (Yeah)/ Take a flight of faith and go give us a try, you’re in Spain on Monday, I’m in Rome at night (Accurate)/ I can catch a red-eye, then be by your side

I don’t think you know, we could go to and fro, we go this and there, kiss it there/ You know we livin’ the high life, need you in my life, so let’s go/ We can take ship or boat, get intimate and coast/

Studying Abroad follows Masego’s official debut album Lady Lady, which included features from SiR, Tiffany Gouché, De’ Wayne Jackson, and FKJ. The TrapHouseJazz singer certainly hasn’t been mute since then, as he dropped off plenty of appearances on singles in 2020 alone, including “Golden Ticket” with Brasstracks and Common, “Good & Plenty” with Alex Isley and Jack Dine, “Stickin’” with Sinead and VanJess, along with his own singles “Veg Out,” and “King’s Rant.” ‘Sego also participated in last year’s virtual BET Awards, gifting the viewers a new rendition of his popular Lady Lady track “Queen Tings.”

More recently, Masego can be heard dishing out plenty of assists within the last few weeks. He made an appearance on Sinead Harnett’s brand new Ready Is Always Too Late project alongside VanJess for the song “Stickin’.” ‘Sego also tapped in with ELHAE for their collab track “My City.”
