It’s been a little more than a year since Sinéad Harnett unveiled her debut album Lessons In Love, which contained 12 tracks and features from GRADES and Gallant. This past April also saw her deliver an acoustic version of the project, giving fans seven unplugged standouts to enjoy.

Following a remix for “Be The One” with Col3trane and the aptly titled “Quarantine Queen” comes the soulful cut “Stickin’,” which features assistance from Masego and VanJess. The cross-Atlantic single sees production from Mike Brainchild and Sunny Kale and centers around staying committed to your relationships, even during the inevitable tough times:

“I can see the signs, something isn’t right, so before you even try to tell a lie, now, ‘member I know every side, each side of you/

Every step we take, in every circle we go ’round, only leads us to another row, but you know I’ll still be here stickin’ with you…/”

The accompanying visual comes courtesy of director LX and shows the collaborators in different natural locations, from fields to forests and everything in between, adding another symbolic layer to the soulful cut.

Speaking to Complex (who premiered the video), the British singer-songwriter explained how the collaboration came to fruition, revealing that it reflected on the season past:

“When we were making the track it felt like summer to me, and I wanted to bring a little contrast to that lyrically. Often the people that most get on our nerves are the ones we’re closest to. The ones we’ll always stick by. I loved how VanJess made their own spin on that notion, and how Masego gave his side to the story in response.”
