Back in February, Pooh Shiesty unveiled his official debut project Shiesty Season, a 17-track offering with additional features from Lil Durk, Gucci Mane, BIG30, 21 Savage, Veeze, Foogiano, Tay Keith, Choppa Wop, and Lil Hank. The mixtape proved to be a critical and commercial success, as Shiesty recently announced on social media, while also hinting at new music:

“Over 500k sold on Shiesty Season … now that we Gold Im ready for a Deluxe… what ya’ll think??”

Today, the Memphis star liberates Shiesty Season – Spring Deluxe, which adds on four fresh cuts for his fans to enjoy. One of the biggest standouts is the DJ Pain 1, JDFeng, and Gold Haze-produced “Switch It Up,” which features G Herbo and No More Heroes. Originally teased back in January, the bass-heavy cut sees the collaborators delivering street tales and flexing about their wealth and hard-earned successes:

“Just sit back, see how I play it, Shiesty switched it up a notch, let the dope cook on the stove, we turn the eye down, watch the pot, 1017 ‘round my chain so I tote the same ‘mount of shots, Palm Angels denim huggin’ me, pockets keep growin’, knots…”

In a past interview with REVOLT’s “The Breakfast Club,” Shiesty spoke on how signing to Gucci Mane’s The New 1017 imprint saved him from potential trouble in his hometown:

“I ain’t gon’ lie, I ain’t never wanted to sign to nobody … It’s just my mentality. Even though in the city, you gotta sign to either one of them: Paper Route or CMG. So before Wop came, I’m still Choppa Gang that’s my name. I wanted it be like, ‘Why you can’t sign to Chopper Gang, CMG or Paper Route?’ Then Wop came, boom. Perfect.”
