Back in August, Dave East unveiled his latest project Karma 3, a 15-track project with additional contributions from Popcaan, Trey Songz, Trouble, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Doe Boy, Young Dolph, Benny The Butcher, and more. This week, the Harlem star drops off a new video from the project for “Know How I Feel,” which features Mary J. Blige and sees the collaborators pouring their hearts out over production from Triple A, Omar Grand, and Dizzy Banko:

“I know how it feel, before Nas, I ain’t know ‘bout a deal, we was moving, I ain’t know ‘bout the pills, you don’t know about bills, this life is real, you don’t know ‘bout the field, my man got life, I told him chill and just try to appeal, they think this money make it all good, how? Things changed, spend too much time in the hood now, know I could get killed/”

Directed by Mills Miller, the accompanying visual for “Know How I Feel” is mainly centered around Dave East in a therapy session. Elsewhere, he and queen Mary perform the track in what looks like a jazz nightclub with the aid of a pianist. Viewers can also see many of East’s lyrical references appear over his silhouette throughout.

In addition to his initial release, Dave East also liberated a deluxe edition of Karma 3 with eight more cuts and extra assists from DeJ Loaf, Junior Reid, Chris Brown, G Herbo, and Jeezy. His debut — and only official — LP, Survival, was released in 2019 and saw the likes of DJ Premier, Teyana Taylor, Rick Ross, The-Dream, Fabolous, Gunna, Mozzy, Lil Baby, and Ty Dolla $ign, Max B, E-40, and Mozzy make notable appearances on the 20-song outing.
