Rowdy Rebel has enlisted NAV for his latest track “Jesse Owens,” a fast-paced offering in which sees a Brooklyn and Toronto link up. A snippet of this song was previewed in an Instagram story on Jan 20 and Rowdy later confirmed its release date in February. On the track, Rowdy makes sure to let people know he’s back:

Back in my zone and I’m focused. Please don’t start no commotion. Y’all playin’, we uppin’, we throwin’. Ain’t gotta think twice, I’m blowin’/ Me and NAV on a mission to get to the cash, all my money growin’. I done touched down and I ran up a bag so fast like I’m Jesse Owens. I got your bitch and she ho-in’. Chain my neck, that shit glowin’/ Ice on my wrist, that shit frozen. Straight to the top, where we goin’?/ I’m fresh out the can and bustin’ up Xans. That’s why I’m movin’ in slow motion.

Rowdy Rebel was released from prison a few weeks ago and wasted no time getting back into his groove. He teamed up with Funk Flex for their “Re Route” record that dropped last month. Last year, he could also be heard on Pop Smoke’s Shoot For The Stars Aim For The Moon album on their collab track “Make It Rain.”

This is not the first time that NAV has been on a drill beat before, as he was featured on the late Pop Smoke’s song “Wolves” from his album Meet The Woo 2. The project was coincidentally released exactly one year ago today as well. Last year, NAV dropped off his Emergency Tsunami project, which boasts 14 tracks and includes features from current favorites Gunna, Young Thug, Lil Baby, Lil Keed, and SahBabii. Earlier this year, he also released his solo project Good Intentions.
