Since entering the Twitter world, Dionne Warwick has been entertaining her followers with her brutally honest takes on various artists and pop culture. Fans have taken to her page to interact with the legend and have walked away with either newfound knowledge or a few laughs. Either way, her Twitter account is one of the best things to happen in 2020.

This weekend, Warwick was badgered by Nicki Minaj stans who wondered whether she too was a Barb. After asking for an explanation of the term, fans filled her comments section with answers, eventually inciting a response from the singer.

Nicki Minaj has a wonderful career. Yes,” she penned in a tweet.

Warwick’s public praise of the Pink Friday star comes days after she shared her desires for Teyana Taylor to play her in a biopic. She’s also poked fun at Chance the Rapper and The Weeknd for their choice of stage names.

At the start of Warwick’s tweeting days, some doubted whether she was the one writing her tweets, but she addressed the naysayers and confirmed she was indeed the mastermind.

“This is for all of you tweeters who have decided that I’m not tweeting my own stuff to you,” she said. “I want you to know I am, and I’m getting very, very, very good at it. You see, I have a wonderful niece. Her name is Brittani. She said, ‘Aunt Dionne, you’ll have a lot of fun if you get on this with me.’ I said, ‘Okay, teach me how to do it.’ And she did, and I am doing it.”

During an interview with People, Brittani explained why she encouraged her aunt to join the social media platform.

“Aunt Dionne is very much the kind of person that has quick inquisitive thoughts,” she said. “She’ll tell you in a heartbeat that she’s nosy. She’s always wondering things. I managed her social for a long time for her tours and things like that. But in this pandemic, I thought it might be good for her to jump on and just be herself, and Twitter was the place to do that!”
