Florida, by way of Haiti, rapper Jackboy has released his new album Love Me While I’m Here. With production from DZY, Murda Beatz, Kid Hazel, D.A. Doman, and more, the album features assistance from names like Kodak Black, Tyga, Dej Loaf, and Juelz Santana, and buzzing newcomers Rylo Rodriguez, Lil Mosey, 42 Dugg, Hotboii, Denzel Curry, Dreezy and Tokyo Jetz, to name a few. The new project also comes paired alongside a music video to “Hear Me Crying,” which sees Jackboy shouting out one of his guys doing time:

Tote heavy steels, I can’t let you take me for mine. Free my n***a Bill, my n***a there one of a kind. He never got worried, but if I’m keeping it real, I’ma do that without trying. And none of you fuck n****s ain’t seeing us, y’all legally blind. Can’t be compared to none of these rap niggas, we really live our rhymes. Compare me to one of these big facts, I got cake all the time. Swear to God I was raised ‘round them trap n***as who be backing down. Flew out of state, was making a date, but now I’m packing nines.

This year Jackboy dropped two projects, Jackboy and Living In History, in April and August, respectively. Jackboy saw guest features from names like Kodak Black, Blac Youngsta, Casanova, Warhol.SS, YFN Lucci, and Lil Sean. He assisted on several singles this year including “Instinto” by Harry Nach, “Promised Land” on EMPIRE’s Voices for Change compilation project, “Married To My Enemies” with Tee Grizzley, and “For That” with TEC. Most recently, he can also be heard on Kamaiyah’s new album No Explanations on the song “Still I Rise.”
