Tobe Nwigwe celebrates his wins in new track “A Million”
The song dropped to mark the accomplishment of a career milestone.
Fresh off the release of his Cincoriginals project, Tobe Nwigwe tucks yet another accomplishment under his belt. The Forum Park artist has reached a new milestone of reaching a million, and released a triumphant track and video to celebrate. On the song, he reflects on the journey it took to get to this point:
My mama swore I was a joke, but now I got a million. I lost some friends while I was broke, but now I got a million. They slept on me, but now they woke, because I got a million. Fresh out the mud, but I’m clean as soap, because I got a million. I got my first million, I got my first million, I got my first million. And it was straight out the mud. I brought the whole hood through the door, and now I got a million. I held it down for all the bros.
The visual closes out with a montage of clips from recent years, chronicling the highlights throughout his career and personal life as well. Some scenes include him freestyling on Sway In The Morning, FaceTiming Dave Chapelle, marrying the love of his life, shooting his artistic music videos, performing on Tiny Desk, spending precious time with family, and many more.
In an emotional caption to go along with the video, “The lil Naija boy from Forum Park. We got to a milli on the same day me and fat got married. Dog that’s nuts and as I lay here after a magnificent night of ‘honoring the covenant’ I’m just in awe y’all. NEVER SWITCHED UP! GOD GAVE ME STRENGTH TO BE A REAL N**** AND NOT A HAN! I GOT A WIFE AND KIDS MAN! I WAS BROKE AND AINT KNOW NOTHIN’ BOUT NO MUSIC! I DID IT FOR THE HOOD! [I started tearing up… lemme calm down].”
