Jeezy and Yo Gotti are “Back” in new visual

The collaborators give back to the hood in the new clip.

Earlier this month, Jeezy released the new single “Back,” which features assistance from fellow southern hip hop veteran Yo Gotti and sees production from CuBeatz and Don Cannon. The track centers on the now legendary duo maintaining their position in their respective stomping grounds, despite detractors thinking that simply got rich and left the hood with a one-way ticket:

“The streets ain’t a game, you can’t renege, grown man s***, you can’t play, kids, you ever been to Hell? Been off in a cell? Two co-defedants, you better not tell, water in the vision bowl, yeah you know the smell/

Breakin’ out the weight set, yeah you know the scale, even got our stamps on it, yeah you know the brail … they say that I’m irrelevant, it ain’t no way in Hell/”

This week, fans get to check out the official video for the dope cut, which begins with Jeezy and Yo Gotti retrieving a massive nine-figure Paycheck Protection loan from a bank for the purpose of helping their community. They then proceed to embolden their own with needed cash and necessities, even sending a virtual transaction of $200,000 to a single mother. Peers like 42 Dugg and YFN Lucci even help to pass out currency to the people, directly from armored trucks.

In addition to “Back,” this year also saw Jeezy release the quick-strike EP Twenty/20 Pyrex Vision, which saw him reuniting with producer Shawty Redd for seven hard-hitting tracks. Prior to that, Jeezy liberated his ninth studio album TM104: The Legend of the Snowman in 2019, which boasted 18 tracks and additional appearances from CeeLo Green, Meek Mill, Rick Ross, Queen Naija, Gunna, Ty Dolla $ign, John Legend, and more. That same year, he also connected with Boston George for the conceptual EP Boston George & Diego. Jeezy can also be seen making a recent appearance on Trouble’s recent drop “Medusa.”

Press play on “Back” below. In related news, fans can catch Jeezy battling T.I. in next month’s return of “Verzuz.”
