Congratulations are in order for the late Brooklyn rapper Pop Smoke!

The late Pop Smoke is probably in heaven celebrating as his posthumous debut album has just been certified platinum.

Following the great news, 50 Cent, who served as the executive producer of the album, took to Instagram to express his excitement.

“Not bad,” he wrote alongside the RIAA Platinum certification. “She want to fuck wit the Woo @roddyricch on fire. You know the vibes.”

Shoot For The Stars, Aim For The Moon has 1.5 billion streams and is the frontrunner for the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 chart next week with Taylor Swift and JUICEWRLD close behind, but the feature-filled album is not a stranger to the No. 1 spot. It shot to the top of the chart in its first week, making Pop the first act in hip hop history to have a posthumous debut album debut at No.1. Additionally, all of the songs on the album placed on the Billboard Hot 100.

The deluxe version of the album which includes additional songs, remixes and some more features was released weeks later on what would have been the rapper’s 21st birthday.

The Brooklyn rapper was in Los Angeles working on his album when he was tragically gunned down in what appeared to be a home invasion.

His former manager, Steven Victor, worked alongside 50 Cent to bring the albums into fruition following his untimely death, but he’s also been thinking of adding to his legacy with a possible Christian Dior collection.

“I would take it in stride super early on and thought let’s focus on the music first and once you’re stable as an artist then let’s dabble,” Victor said about his time working with Pop Smoke. “[Pop] would always talk about fashion. I thought he was just saying it because it was cool for rappers to say. Then over the months I realized he did have his own sense of style.”

“You can’t say that Pop didn’t have some sort of influence on Dior, especially in the urban community,” Victor continued. “I’m going to see [Dior men’s artistic director Kim Jones] and talk to him about that on some level. Maybe next year for Pop’s birthday.”
