REVOLT Media & TV Chairman Sean “Diddy” Combs knows how it feels to be an aspiring entertainment executive, so he’s giving back to the next generation of entrepreneurs and business leaders with his latest venture. Alongside Combs Enterprises and global entertainment, sports and content company Endeavor, on Thursday (June 17), the mogul announced the launch of “The Excellence Program,” which aims to equip upcoming execs from underrepresented communities with skills necessary to become successful in their desired industries.

According to a press release, “The Excellence Program” is a free curriculum catered to individuals looking to get their foot in the door in such fields as entertainment, marketing, music and fashion.

Over the course of six weeks, students will learn about touring and performing, professional development, the business of entertainment and storytelling from a star-studded crew that includes Joey Bada$$, Cari Champion, Victor Cruz, Terrence Jenkins, Marshawn Lynch, French Montana and more.

Executives from REVOLT, Combs Enterprises, Endeavor Content, Amazon Studios, IMG Models, Color of Change and WME — who Diddy has signed with in all areas — will also lend their knowledge to participants.

“Beginning my career as an intern changed my life, so it’s been a lifelong dream to give the next generation of entrepreneurs and executives access to the best in entertainment, marketing, music and fashion,” the mogul said in a statement. “Partnering with Endeavor creates a pipeline to opportunities that allow future leaders to not only succeed, but thrive in these highly competitive industries.”

“The Excellence Program helps ensure access and education are available to all who possess the talent, vision and creativity necessary to succeed in the entertainment industry,” added Ariel Emanuel, CEO of Endeavor. “We hope it serves as a catalyst to break down barriers and create content that better reflects the communities we serve. We are proud to partner with Sean in bringing this program to life.”

The Excellence Program is set to launch on July 12 with the “Igniting the Excellence in You” session. Upon completion of the program, the best-performing students will be entered into a “resume book” for internship and employment consideration at the companies mentioned above.
