It looks like Polo G is headed toward a massive debut for his new album.

According to projections Hits Daily Double posted yesterday (June 12), the Chicago rapper’s latest album, Hall Of Fame, is currently on pace to sell between 165,000 and 175,000 equivalent album units in its first week. That would be enough for it to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart.

Polo G’s previous album, 2020’s The GOAT, landed at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 after selling 99,000 equivalent album units. Now, it’s clear that in the year since he last drop, he’s seriously leveled up. If the projections prove to be accurate, Hall of Fame will be his first No. 1 album.

Migos should also be looking at a strong debut, as their latest album, Culture III, is projected to sell between 125,000 and 135,000 equivalent albums in its first week. That would be good enough for No. 2 on the chart. Considering it’s the first LP they’ve dropped in three years, that’s pretty impressive.

Throughout the promotional cycle for their new album, Quavo, Offset and Takeoff have given the impression that they know they’ve put together something special. Recently, one rap legend gave Quavo some serious props for Migos’ new project.

On Friday, Huncho used his Instagram account to share a screenshot of a congratulatory text message JAY-Z sent his way. In it, Hov praises a song on the album.

“That Avalanche song is beautiful,” reads one part of Hov’s text. “Congrats to you and the guys on the album. Peace God!”

For his part, Quavo offered up a thanks to the Roc Nation founder. “Thanks OG,” Quavo wrote in one part of his response text. “We Put Everything We Had Into This One.”

Salute to Polo G and Migos for what looks like will be super strong openings for both.
