A Virginia-based rapper who took videos and photos of himself at the Capitol during the Jan. 6 insurrection is facing federal charges for his involvement.

Antionne DeShaun Brodnax, also known under his rap moniker Bugzie the Don, used a photo of himself sitting on top of a SWAT truck for the cover of his album titled The Capital. As he smoked a cigar on the vehicle, a mob of violent Donald Trump supporters stormed the Capitol building behind him.

According to authorities, Brodnax admitted that he was in Washington D.C. during the riot, but was not there for anything political. He told the FBI that he was only there to shoot a music video.

He said he simply followed the crowd into the Capitol after the police moved the gates out of the way to let people enter. Brodnax said he was peaceful and only walked around and took photos and videos of the architecture inside. The rapper said that he did not enter any chambers and did not steal or destroy anything inside the government building.

According to court documents, he “willfully and knowingly engaged in disorderly and disruptive conduct within the United States Capitol Grounds and in any of the Capitol Buildings with the intent to impede, disrupt, and disturb the orderly conduct of a session of Congress and either House of Congress, and the orderly conduct in that building of a hearing before or any deliberation of, a committee of Congress or either House of Congress.”

Brodnax was arrested on several charges, including disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds; entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds; disorderly conduct in a Capitol building; and parading, demonstrating, or picketing in a Capitol building.
