After nearly seven years of marriage, Kim Kardashian has filed for divorce from Kanye West.

According to TMZ, the reality star is looking to have an amicable separation from the gospel rapper. She is asking for joint legal and physical custody of their four kids — a request West is reportedly okay with. Both parties are committed to raising their children together and seem to be okay with the terms of their prenup. They are in the process of reaching a property settlement agreement.

Kardashian and the Graduation rapper started dating in April 2012. The following year, West rented out the AT&T Park in San Francisco, where he proposed to the reality star. Their lavish wedding ceremony took place on May 14, 2014 in Florence, Italy among family and friends.

Though their marriage started off strong, talks of a potential divorce have been swirling on the internet for some time. The rumors exacerbated when West launched his presidential campaign and revealed some private information during his first rally.

“Even if my wife wants to divorce me after this speech, she brought North into the world even when I didn’t want to,” he said while on the topic of abortion rights. “She stood up and she protected that child.”

Kardashian subsequently asked fans to show “compassion” for their “complicated and painful” situation, and he replied with a public apology. “I would like to apologize to my wife Kim for going public with something that was a private matter,” he tweeted at the time. “I did not cover her like she has covered me. To Kim, I want to say I know I hurt you. Please forgive me. Thank you for always being there for me.”

Kardashian and West are parents to daughters North and Chicago and sons Saint and Psalm.
