Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion reign supreme as their first-ever collaboration “WAP” makes a major debut. The hit record entered at the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 this week and has already been certified Gold by the RIAA.

Even more impressive, “WAP” also had the biggest debut streaming week ever. With 93 million U.S. streams, the mega-collab beat out Ariana Grande, who previously held the record with her song “7 Rings,” which garnered 85.3 million streams in its first week out.

“WAP” is also leading with the biggest streaming week of the year and the 18th-largest overall. It’s Cardi B’s fourth song to go No. 1, extending her legacy as the female rapper with the most Hot 100 No. 1 hits. The Bronx-bred star previously reached the coveted top spot on the chart with “Bodak Yellow (Money Moves),” “I Like It” featuring Bad Bunny and J Balvin and Maroon 5’s “Girls Like You.”

“[My stylist] was like, ‘You have to link up. I know you see the comments all the time; the people would love a song with y’all,” Cardi explained how the collaboration with Megan came about while appearing virtually on “The Breakfast Club.”

“I told him, ‘I know.’ Like, I’m just shy. One of my big things is that I’m really shy, especially when it comes to girls. I don’t know why. That’s just how I am… But they made it happen,” she explained. “We linked up and we had girly conversations — it was mad fu*king funny.”

The single marks Megan’s second No. 1 hit, following her “Savage (Remix)” with Beyoncé. Megan and Cardi also shared an eye-catching video to accompany their track, which featured the likes of Kylie Jenner, Normani and Rosalía. The video reached over 100 million views on YouTube in its first week, marking the largest debut week for a female rap collaboration on the platform this year.
