Quavo has spent his quarantine time furthering his education. On Thursday night (May 21), the Migos rapper announced that he’d officially graduated from Atlanta’s Berkmar High School, along with sharing some graduation portraits on Instagram.

“Finally Can Say I Graduated High School Class Of 2020 We Lit,” he wrote on the post. “Now What College Should I Go To?”

Quavo attended Berkmar High School as a teenager, where he reportedly broke several state records as a football quarterback. According to Sporting News, he dropped out before graduating to pursue his music career.

Elsewhere in his Instagram post, Quavo also announced that he and the Migos would be dropping a celebratory single to mark his education milestone.

“And To Celebrate We Gonna Drop SMASH TONIGHT,” his post continued. “BERKMAR HIGH NAWFSIDE BABY.”

The new track ended up being “Need It” featuring YoungBoy Never Broke Again. It’s unclear whether the single is a stand-alone release, or if it will land on the Atlanta trio’s quarantine mixtape or highly anticipated next album, Culture III.

Quavo previously teased the potential quarantine tape on Twitter.

“Quarantine Mixtape?? Jus To Keep Y’all Straight. Then Culture 3. When All This Is Over!” he wrote. “Y’all Fu*k Wit That? Cuz We Ready To Drop. ASAP Original Migo Mixtape!!! Day 1 Sh*t.”

The rapper also revealed how the pandemic has disrupted their Culture III rollout while speaking with Billboard.

“Of course, the business has slowed down because we perform in front of masses of people,” Quavo explained. “Dropping music and all that, it’s at a standstill right now with us because we need to go out there and touch the people to push our albums to make our music work.”

Migos released Culture II back in 2018. The LP saw features from 21 Savage, Drake, Gucci Mane, Travis Scott, Ty Dolla $ign, Big Sean, Nicki Minaj, Cardi B, Post Malone and 2 Chainz. So far this year, the trio has dropped off “Give No Fxk” with Travis Scott and Young Thug, “Taco Tuesday” and “Racks 2 Skinny,” now followed by “Need It.”
