Quavo has officially launched his label imprint, Huncho Records. The Migos rapper hopped Instagram on Tuesday (April 7) to announce the good news to his followers.
“You Can Rap, Produce, Or Be A Athlete. Be All You Can Be!” Quavo captioned an image of his Huncho Records logo.
Along with the official launch, Huncho Records’ Instagram account has also revealed its first three artists: 904 Reebok, the PopOutBoyz and Street Bud.
The PopOutBoyz — a Brooklyn-bred hip hop group — recently dropped off their single “Nasty Time,” while 904 Reebok can be heard on the new Mango Foo-collaborated track, “Rocky.”
Street Bud, the label’s first signee, has already teamed up with Quavo on a song called “Open House.” The track landed on the 15-year-old rapper’s new project Back 2 The Lab, which features appearances from Sheck Wes, Quality Control, Lil Donald, DAYYTONA FOX and Doonk.
The news arrives amidst a busy two weeks for Quavo. On Tuesday (April 7), the Atlanta-bred rapper announced the second issue of his clothing collaboration with streetwear brand boohooMAN. According to the boohooMAN website, the collection includes tracksuits, tops, jackets, shoes, matching sets and bandana accessories that are inspired by “Quavo’s Huncho Style.”
Furthermore, last Thursday (April 2) marked Quavo’s 29th birthday. While his usual “Huncho Day” charity flag football event had to be canceled due to the pandemic, the rapper still found a way to give back.
On his birthday, Quavo announced that his Quavo Cares Foundation had partnered with the Ohana One Foundation and Georgia’s Emory Healthcare to provide masks and personal protective equipment to hospitals in both Atlanta and Los Angeles.
“Huncho Day Was About Giving Back On My Birthday Unfortunately Weren’t Able Too! So Instead I Ask My Family Friends Supporters To Please Donate To Quavo Cares Foundation!!!!” he announced on Instagram. “I am partnering with [Ohana One] and [Emory Healthcare] to provide needed masks, isolation gowns and face shields to ensure health care professionals are safe during this pandemic. I am asking all of my friends and fans to join me and donate.”
